Remember, Prepare, Give Thanks
It’s here again. Christmas, Boxing Day and then a brand new year! It’s just another day really. The rise and fall of the sun, the tick-tick-tock of a 24-hour cycle. Nothing that makes the passing of one year different from another except an explosion of fireworks and the obligatory late-nighter!
The one thing that’s different about New Year’s day is that sense of a new beginning. More than any other day, a new year calls us to reflect on where we’ve been, and to look to where we’re going.
There are two things I encourage you to do as another year comes around. The first is to take stock. Remember the achievements of the old year; the life-lessons, answers to prayer and those personal triumphs behind the scenes. Take time to reflect on them and be thankful.
The second is to take responsibility. We may have a God who’s looking out for us, but we also need to plan for change. A new year calls us to take responsibility for the year we’re about to live. It invites us to consider the kind of person we want to be in a year’s time, so that when it rolls around again, we have something to be thankful for.

About this Plan
This past year has been a year not to be forgotten and although many are looking forward to it being over, it is not a year to be unwritten. Let's not forget all we have been through and all that God has done.
