Rekindle the Romance: Date Your SpouseSample

Dating is as Simple as ABC
We make dating so difficult! We let life creep into our marriage and keep us from dating our spouse. It really is not all that difficult. It is as simple as ABC!
Anticipation. Hollywood would lead us to believe that spontaneity is the spice of life. But no! Anticipation is the spice of life! You don’t spontaneously do Christmas. You don’t spontaneously go on vacation. You plan and prepare, and then anticipate the joy to come.
Build. Plan something specific within your date to grow your marriage. For example, this week’s date, cook a meal together and take it to someone who is under the weather, building generosity into your marriage. Another idea is to volunteer at a soup kitchen and then afterwards go for coffee and discuss how thankful you are for all you have been given.
Calendar. Most of us use the calendar for everything in our life. Dentist appointments, oil changes, work schedules, kids’ activities, meetings. The list goes on. We often neglect to schedule dates with our spouse. Make your marriage a priority by putting a date on the calendar.
