You Are God's FieldSample

God provides
People tend to worry about a lot of things, such as their daily food and clothing. Jesus warns us not to be anxious about these. For if we are totally taken up by earthly things, we do not pay enough attention to spiritual things that are far more important. “You cannot serve God and money at the same time”.
Moreover, believers don’t need to worry about food and clothing. Jesus draws our attention to the birds of the air. They do not work for their food, they neither sow nor reap nor gather grain into barns. God feeds them nevertheless. And since we are of more value than those little birds, He will also provide for us. Our heavenly Father knows what we need and He cares for us.
Jesus does not say that we should stop sowing and working. But He does say that we should stop being anxious. Instead, we should trust in the love and care of the Lord.
What are you worried about? Do you believe that God can provide, and do you entrust yourself to Him?

About this Plan

In several parables, Jesus compares the Kingdom of God to a field where a man sows seed. This reading plan seeks to discover which spiritual lessons we can learn from Jesus’ parables and from other Bible verses about seeds and sowing. Thanks to Gospel Images for the beautiful image.
