“He Hears Us”
Imagine you are a little kid again. Remember all of those things that you asked for from your parents or guardians? Imagine if they said YES every time. What kind of person would you be today? Spoiled, entitled, demanding? In these verses, the promise is that if we align our prayers with God’s will, He will listen.
God listens and says YES to prayers that further his will and align with what He thinks is good for us, not what we think is good for us. Note that the verse speaks to the fact that we pray according to God’s will, not our own. Our prayer with God should be a conversation and a discovering of God’s will for our lives, not just a list of demands that we want.
