How Do You Respond to Jesus?Sample
Receiving Jesus into your life
Jesus’ miracles did not go unnoticed. Many people had heard about Him, including a man named Zacchaeus. When he found out that Jesus was passing through his city, he was determined to go and see this man for himself. But, Zacchaeus had a problem, he was too small in stature to look over the heads of the attending crowds, and his job as a tax collector for the Romans had made him so unpopular that people would not let him through. The only way to see Jesus was to climb a tree!
When Jesus was walking by, He looked up to Zacchaeus and told him to come down, “for I must stay at your house today”. This was much more than Zacchaeus had expected; he had just wanted to see Jesus, but now Jesus was coming to his house! Zacchaeus received his unexpected guest joyfully. His conversation with Jesus makes clear that he also received Jesus in his heart.
In a letter to the church of Laodicea, Jesus says: “Behold, I stand at the door and knock.” He wants to dwell in our heart.
Have you opened your “door” for Jesus? How did this change your life?

About this Plan
Jesus Christ is the central figure of Christianity. Millions of people worldwide worship Him as their Savior, but others fiercely reject Him. Some people are prepared to die for Jesus’ sake, others live as though He does not exist. This reading plan describes how different people groups responded to Jesus and challenges you to rethink your own response to Him.
