Who Is God?Sample

God keeps his promises through generations
God has revealed himself as "I am who I am". But He adds something to that: I am the God of your fathers. He knows them by name, even though they have passed away centuries ago. God keeps the promises that He had given to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob about the land their descendants would inherit. Now is the time to fulfill these promises.
For the people of Israel, it is comforting to know that this God who commands them to leave Egypt, is the same God their ancestors knew personally, and the same God who gave them amazing promises of His care and blessing.
This name of God is to be remembered throughout all generations. Some of his promises take centuries before they are fulfilled, but He does not forget about them. Consequently, the apostle Peter can tell the Jews some 1500 years later, when God’s promises of salvation have been fulfilled in Jesus Christ: "You are the sons (...) of the covenant that God made with your fathers”. Are you included in this blessing through faith in Jesus?
