Night Before DAWNSample
Night 6
The night with more questions than answers. And we have no one to answer them. So everything you can do is put your head down and cry, beat yourself up, be discouraged and keep silent…
I imagine the disciples thinking…
…I could go to sleep, but the thoughts about the latest events in my head make me sleepless. But I need to fall asleep – my mind keeps working since Thursday. It’s like a nightmare. And there’s no happy end to it. It seems as if there is no end at all.
For some reason, there are a lot of memories in my mind about Jesus’ words, actions, and parables. Only His words of His resurrection don’t come back to mind. It’s forgotten. Apparently, it was not that important at the time because, He was alive and He was close…
The stone on His grave became the stone that fell on the disciples’ hearts. Nothing can move it. But today is Saturday and people are used to staying inside this day. Otherwise, they would scatter just to be far from this stone. But how can you escape if the stone is inside you? It’s pressing, it’s dragging, it suffocates you.
Each one of them witnessed death before. Death of their friends, family members, parents, maybe. It was a time when death was walking by everybody. But Jesus' death was not an ordinary death for them. It seemed that they died too.
Death – a long word, yet only one syllable.
The death of Jesus – a short, though life-changing event.
It is the night. And we need this night to understand the RESURRECTION better. AND THE RESURRECTION IS CLOSE!

About this Plan
Night is a special time of day. Not it's active part, but the time when we move from all our meetings, conversations, and business – to sleep. There were some special nights in the lives of Jesus' disciples. A few nights before Christ’s Resurrection. Let’s take a look at them.
