The Thin Places: Building Foundations Sample

The community of believers should be where we are authentic and honest about our own feelings, thoughts, and life variables—backing one another, encouraging one another in love, and building lives that reflect Jesus.
Nehemiah had a sad face for his city, but he went to God in prayer. When you are a part of a family, you are more raw and more vulnerable than you might be when you don’t know people intimately. When we meet with God, honestly, He enables us to be honest with our loved ones, our spouses, our friends, and others within our spheres of influence in a way that breeds health and real love.
As believers we must endeavor to build atmospheres of real family, real care, and real love that brings people to Christ.
QUESTIONS
Are we afraid of being honest within community? What is intimidating about being real?
Have you wanted to treat some people a specific way, but been prompted by the Holy Spirit to respond differently than your flesh would have wanted?
