What Are Your Life Goals?Sample

Faith
“Pursue … faith” (1 Timothy 6:11)
When someone becomes a Christian, we say that he or she “comes to faith”. And that is totally true. But faith is more than a one-time decision to surrender your life to God because you believe that He is true and good and worthy of all honor. Faith is a confident trust in the Lord that He knows best and that He will do what is best, as a loving Father. This trust must be trained and developed further if you want to become spiritually mature. When the apostle Paul wrote a letter to the church in Thessalonica, he expressed his thankfulness that their faith was “growing abundantly”. This is something every Christian should pursue.
Our faith must be based on God’s promises in the Bible. So, if we want our faith to grow, it is helpful to continue studying the Bible. As the apostle Paul says, “faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ” (Romans 10:17). Moreover, we may ask God to strengthen our faith, like a desperate father did in Mark 9:24, “I believe; help my unbelief!”
Do you trust the Lord?
About this Plan

When asking people what they want to achieve in life, you will probably hear things like wealth, happiness, safety, and a loving family. These are all good things in themselves, but if we focus on them too much, they can draw us away from God. In order to avoid this, the apostle Paul mentions a different list of life goals we should pursue. Let’s study them one by one.
