The Humility of God: Our Servant KingSample

Day 6: The Resurrected Servant
Jesus' suffering as our perfect Servant isn't the end of the story. He isn't someone to feel sorry for. On the third day, He defeated death, as hinted at in these verses.
He died, and yet He prolongs His days for eternity. He has a great reward because He gave His life for us, and we are His reward. We might not feel like a great reward, but Jesus delights to call us His own.
Jesus isn't just sitting back, resting on His laurels. He is making intercession for transgressors like us. We might break God's law, but Jesus pleads His blood to the Father God as a covering for our sins.
Amazingly, we ourselves are Jesus's reward for all He went through on our behalf. He gladly went through suffering for the joy set before Him of having us as His inheritance. It's amazing that He so joyfully loves us!
'Dear Lord, thank You so much for Your enthusiastic willingness to save us. We're grateful that You will assuredly complete the work You've begun, guaranteed by the blood of Jesus, in whose name we pray, amen.'
Resurrection sounds too good to be true; do you believe in Christ's resurrection?
