Reset My Persistence

Today’s chapter is filled with people who did whatever it took to get Jesus. Whatever roadblock you’re facing in life, Jesus can reset your persistence to keep going until you reach Him.

Today you’re going to read about four people who didn’t give up (and one who did):

• The persistent widow
• The sinner versus the Pharisee
• The children
• The rich young ruler
• The blind man

Every one of these people faced a challenge that could have kept them from Jesus. But they didn’t give up. They looked at their lives and said, “Whatever I need to do to find Jesus, it’s worth it.”

Maybe you’re in a place where you feel like giving up, and you feel like God’s given up on you. Maybe you tried trusting Jesus, but it didn’t work out.

Today, ask Jesus to reset your persistence. Come back to the One who’s waiting for you. Whoever you are, Jesus will come close to you when you call out to Him.
