Sorry Not SorrySample

PASSIONATE, not PASSIVE.
Why do we find ourselves often drifting towards passivity as a church and as humans? Because typically most of our passion goes into what benefits us most. If we start a business to provide for our family, we become very passionate about it very quickly. When we get a promotion or find out we're having a child, our passion levels spike. This is our natural inclination, but it doesn't mean it's the correct way to live.
Passion cannot ONLY be a response to things. It must be a CHOICE.
We choose to be passionate because we know that ultimately, at the end of our lives, we want to hear "well done, good and faithful servant." Maybe today we don't feel like being passionate - too bad! We have every reason to work with immense passion: because Christ was passionate for us. Today, when it feels easier to let life happen to you, and when it feels easier to focus primarily on those things that directly affect you, make the conscious decision to put others' needs first.
Their greatest need is for a Savior - if they don't know Jesus, invite them to church. Then ask your church leaders how you can help more! Ask what the greatest needs are and what it looks like to passionately pursue reaching lost people.
Sorry not sorry, but we need to be PASSIONATE, not PASSIVE.
About this Plan

Sometimes there are things that just need to be said. This Bible plan walks through some of the values that tend to get lost in the local church because, over time, we tend to make church all about ourselves. It's time to get back to the basics. Buckle up: this might hurt a little. Sorry, not sorry.
