Nothing WastedSample

THE TEMPTATION OF THE TEMPORAL INSTEAD OF THE ETERNAL
In Jesus’ ministry He comes upon a Samaritan woman and shares the Good News. Jesus and the disciples would have been absolutely famished when they came upon the well and begin to communicate truth that would transform a community. Jesus speaks of food that the people knew nothing about and He goes on to speak of a greater harvest.
It’s good that we can walk in God’s favor and have desires, but at times the very things for which we long in the temporary can distract us from His plan eternally. We must recognize that we’re called to seek first His Kingdom and see the blessing follow as a result.
Let the pursuit of our lives be Jesus and that fruit be the blessing.
QUESTIONS
Where have you pursued blessing and temporary satisfaction above God’s call?
What needs to be adjusted in your life in order to “seek Him first”?
