Vow to Plow Sample

The Time to Plow Is Now
If farmers didn’t plough the land to prepare it for the seeds, they’d miss their opportunity for a bountiful harvest. Once the latter rains come, it is too late. They’d miss their chance for a crop that year. Why wait? Why keep putting off what God can start working on now? And how do we do that? We SEEK. We invite God into the darkest, most vulnerable, ugly parts of our lives. We seek God for the next step. He leads us with “cords of human kindness, with bands of love”; and our response can be one of utter, compassionate surrender, a response of heart, soul, mind, and strength because we know God loves us. The depths of God’s divine mercy are infinite towards us. When we understand God is a caring, kind, and compassionate God, we don’t need to fear this plowing and transformative process.
