God Designed You for a Purpose
God gave both man and woman the same assignment: to “be fruitful and multiply and fill the earth and subdue it (Genesis 1:28).” We refer to this as the cultural mandate. Our true calling is to serve God through our work by partnering with God in the work He has prepared for each of us to do (Ephesians 2:10). Every person is blessed with gifts and talents to do creative, constructive work for the glory of God. That work includes constructing buildings; providing education; creating art, music and theater; providing healthcare; providing food, clothing, transportation, and all that makes life so rich and enjoyable.
We get tripped up when we judge one person’s work as more valuable than another’s, when we compare ourselves to someone else, or try to be something we’re just not. Romans 12:3-8 encourages us that all gifts are necessary for the good of the whole, just as all of the parts of the body are important. When one part suffers, the whole body suffers.
When I broke the little toe on my right foot―one of the smallest, most insignificant parts of my body―my whole body knew it. It was harder to drive and required extra energy for healing. In the same way, when one person is suffering, that person’s contribution is missing, and more energy is required from others to compensate.
Now that you know women are leaders too, and your identity is in Christ, you are free to pursue God’s purpose for your life.
To be the best possible version of you:
- Intentionally, consistently abide in Christ. We abide when we meditate on God’s Word to connect more deeply with the Lord. Pray scripture over yourself, and allow it to go to work on your heart.
- Be obedient. God has designed you for a specific calling and purpose. Follow what God is calling you to do, and take care not to get distracted by the world’s noise.
- Work like God is your boss. Our primary goal is to please God, not people. God will provide strength, wisdom, and rest. Your part is to do your work with excellence, integrity, and joy.
Prayer
Father God, forgive me for pleasing people above You. Help me learn to consistently abide in You so my work can bear good fruit. May all I do bring You glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

About this Plan
God created women and men to lead together. However, women represent less than 30% of the leaders in our workplaces. This plan helps women overcome the lies that have held them back and discover God’s true design for women. You will be equipped with practical steps to become the fearless leader God created you to be. Based on the book, The Confidence Cornerstone: A Woman’s Guide to Fearless Leadership.
