Place of Abundance

Over the years I have walked through some of life’s most challenging difficulties: the death of two of my children, betrayal by those closest to me, loss of my home and belongings, and many other sorrows. Perhaps worst of all, in the midst of such great difficulty, I experienced seasons of seeming silence from our Father God.

But—oh, how I love to share this—God has brought me out into a place of abundance! He has set my feet in a large place. He has turned my mourning into dancing. He has given me beauty for ashes. He has refined me as silver. He has restored my soul. Such victory wasn’t accomplished by God removing me from my challenges, but rather by Him faithfully walking me through them to the other side. My joy has been made all the sweeter because of past sorrow.

Prayer for the Day

My faithful Lord, I bow before You in humble reverence, acknowledging Your mighty hand of blessing on my life and declaring Your faithfulness to the people. Though I walked through great trials, You have faithfully brought great joy from them. I love You beyond words! In Jesus’s name, amen.
