Wisdom to Reign in Life

Great authors always begin with a great hook—something that catches your attention and lures you into reading on. The author of the book of Proverbs, King Solomon, is no exception. He starts with a memorable decree in Proverbs 1:1 of The Passion Translation (TPT): “Here are kingdom revelations, words to live by, and words of wisdom given to empower you to reign in life.”

The book of Proverbs is full of wisdom from heaven, designed to help us reign on earth. We call these revelations 'words of wisdom'. Like the word of wisdom in 1 Corinthians 12:8, these proverbs are brief, memorable, and truth-packed statements that have a supernatural source and power.

What is the impact of such proverbs? They have the capacity to enable us to “reign in life.” This is the true potential of kingdom proverbs; they have the heaven-sent power to help us bring heaven to earth in every relationship and in every situation. They release heaven’s strategies and destinies in every context.

Even in contexts outside the church (such as in a company boardroom), such wisdom can provide brilliant strategies for leadership.

As you embark on this journey, allow it to stir up your passion to receive and understand the Father’s heavenly wisdom.
