Bible in a YearSample

Next up is perhaps the most depressing book of the Bible if you read it wrong. Job suffered much, but his story is one of God’s ultimate faithfulness and provision.
-The book of Job is the earliest recorded book of the Bible. Although the narratives of Genesis obviously precede it chronologically, the life of Job predates the Mosaical authorship by hundreds of years.
-Job may have been a historical contemporary of Abraham.
-The theme of Job is the predicament of the suffering of the righteous, being answered by the unquestionable sovereignty of God.
