Transition = Facing Change Head-On!Sample

NO LONGER HOMELESS
If I remember right, I was between praises, tears, sorrow, laughter, and joy on my trip back to their home. I wanted my Dan to be there; I wanted his approval. I wanted him to see the condo that we could have enjoyed retirement in. My tears flowed. I knew I had to stop myself and just praise the Lord and be thankful that I not only found a home, but that God had given me everything I had asked. Now mind you, I had not met any neighbors yet, but the neighborhood was very nice.
My brother, Jim, and his wife, Betsy, went with me to sign the papers! It was surreal not to have Dan signing legal documents with me. So many documents to sign. Afterward, Jim and Bets took me to Cracker Barrel to celebrate!!
“Now unto Him, that can do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the Power that works in us” Ephesians 3:20
After the home inspection, I asked for a few minor things to be changed, which the owners agreed to do. I couldn’t move in until mid-September. Because it was a condo and there are association meetings, it so happened that the annual meeting was in August. Since I signed legal papers to make it my own in July, I needed to attend the meeting.
Talk about an odd transition. The meeting was in my new home, still occupied by the previous owners!
It was here that I met some of my neighbors. They all seemed nice. I knew God was in it when the Vice-President opened the meeting with prayer!!
Transitions come in all forms: Death, parting with material things, moving away from friends and church and all that makes one comfortable, sealing a new deal, making new friends, going to a new church, change in jobs, and yes, even living alone. The list is endless. Whatever change or transition you are facing, remember that as you trust in the Lord and make Him a part of the transition, the power of God will take you through!
“To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven.” Ecclesiastes 3:1
