Forgiveness, Grace, and FreedomSample
God’s Provision for Daily Grace
When your immediate crisis is over and your wilderness is behind you, if you didn’t learn the lesson of daily grace, then you won’t trust God. You will wake up every day wondering if the promised land will be taken from you or if something might rob you of the abundance there. Managing forgiveness is not just about getting to the place you want to be; it’s about sustaining and prospering there. Even if you have a bad day or something painful happens, you can say, “There’s a new day tomorrow and fresh mercies for me when I wake up.” It liberates you from the past and the future.
So every day, I get up and put on God’s love. There’s not a day I don’t have that option. Every day, I wake up and choose faith over fear. I go out and gather just enough for today. I live in 2 Corinthians 12:10, which says, “When I am weak, then I am strong.” I live in 2 Corinthians 10:5, which has been a key for my healing. It says we must continually take thoughts captive, casting down high things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God. I constantly challenge my internal dialogue when it doesn’t line up with the Word. I don’t allow a negative thought to go unchallenged. Every day—and I do mean every—when a negative thought pops to mind, I do my best to immediately arrest it and remove it from the garden of my mind.
I can testify that these habits produce abundant, beneficial fruit for myself and others.
