No one can choose where to be born and which parents to be born to. It’s God’s prerogative. Because we believe in His love for us, we can be certain that He gives the best for us. We can be sure that our family is the perfect fit for us.

Outside of our main family, we have an extended family, whom we may or may not see often. They are our grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, etc.

Have we ever given thanks and prayed for them? They are also God’s gift for us that makes our lives more wonderful and interesting. Remember them in our prayers. Love them.

After we get married and have our own family, we may feel a gap in our relationship with our family. As we get so occupied with our own issues at home, we start to care less about them.

Starting today, let’s make time to contact our family, say a simple “hello” and “how are you?”, as well as praying for them. Isn’t it God’s command for us to love everyone? Moreover, this is our family.
