Key People: Key People From The BibleSample

Moses
We are skipping way ahead in the life of Moses. God challenged Pharaoh through Moses, Pharaoh stubbornly refuses to do what God said and Egypt was left in shambles as a result. Pharaoh finally let the people of Israel leave Egypt. In this chapter, Moses transitions from deliverer to law-giver. God is about to define a contract between Himself and the people, but it’s important to see that God delivered the people before He defined the requirements and before they obeyed or even agreed to obey. They were His people and He loved them before they had done anything.
God has done the same for us. In Romans 5:8 it says, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Though our relationship with God may call for sacrifice on our part, He made the first move. We will never out-love, out-sacrifice or out-give God!
