Key People: Key People From The BibleSample

Samuel
In chapters 3 through 7, Eli and his sons die, and Samuel becomes the leader of Israel. Nations around Israel were led by kings, but Israel was led by people chosen by God. In chapter 8, the Israelites asked for a king. Now it falls to Samuel to appoint that ruler.
God uses Samuel to guide the nation through a very important transition. His influence will be felt for generations to come. A humble person doing what God says can have a huge influence. Do you want to be that kind of person?
