The Transfiguration
At the transfiguration, the voice from heaven, the voice of the Heavenly Father addresses the disciples and tells them two things - the first is that Jesus is the beloved Son of God, and the second is that the disciples need to listen to Jesus. What was said by God at the transfiguration is so important - that we are to believe that Jesus is the beloved Son of God, but not just believe, we need to listen to Him, we need to obey Him. Let us be believers in Christ who listen to His Word and are obedient to Him.
Prayer: Lord God, we thank you for sending Jesus, your beloved Son. We believe in Him and trust Him for all things. We also want to be believers who listen to the words of Jesus and not just hear them but also obey them. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
