God not only showed his love for us, He proved his love. I can tell you how much money I have, but it is only when I give it to you that I prove that I am generous. The action points to the vision.
This verse shows us that love is an action step. And love contains different things. You can love on people when you are generous. Help them out with their garden work. Go grocery shopping or look after their kids. Or simply give your money to those who need it more than you do.
Today I want to challenge you. How do you prove or show your love to God? Not that you need to do anything to gain his love. But let’s give him something back. Let our lives be a testimony that points to his love, so that people may experience his love through the way we love others.
