Heroes Of The BibleSample

William Tyndale
William Tyndale was the first to publish an English New Testament translated from the Greek. He also translated some of the Hebrew Bible into English. In the preface to his 1530 translation of the Pentateuch (the first five books of the Hebrew Bible), he wrote about his belief in the importance of accurate translation of the Bible. He quoted from Matthew 5 and Psalm 119 to bolster his argument.
