Praying for Friends in Need: A 5-Day Study by Asheritah Ciuciu

DAY 5 OF 5

DIVORCED FRIENDS

“And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times,

having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

2 CORINTHIANS 9:8

RECITE GOD’S GOODNESS

O Love Beyond Compare, You created marriage, and You care about this

broken relationship even more than I do. In Your goodness, continue to show

mercy and kindness even in the midst of this divorce, for Your steadfast love

endures forever.

EXPRESS YOUR NEEDINESS

Lord, I don’t know all the details of what my friend is going through, but

You do. Be their shelter, their safe place in this time of need. Bring healing,

forgiveness, and repentance, so both spouses may seek You with all their hearts.

Provide for the children, and let them know You’re still near and You still hear

their prayers.

SEEK HIS STILLNESS

Take a few moments to become aware of God’s loving presence surrounding you—

and your divorced friends—this very moment.

TRUST HIS FAITHFULNESS

Lord, You have been our God from generation to generation, so we can trust

You. When my friend doubts whether You’ll provide for their needs, reassure

them of Your steadfast love and mercy. You see. You know. You will provide

because You are faithful. We trust You.
