Delight and Worship
Our God always comes through. When we put our trust in God, we also find His delight. It’s the kind of delight that a child receives from their father or mother. God is proud to be our Father; He is glad when we put our trust in Him.
Psalm 147:11 states: "The Lord delights in those who fear Him, who put their hope in His unfailing love.”
He is faithful, when we are faithless. He is our joy, when we are in despair. He is our comfort, when we are broken. He heals and His unfailing love binds us together.
How can we not return to Him praise and delight in His completing work within us? This is why the Psalmist says: Sing to the Lord with grateful praise; make music to our God on the harp.” (Psalm 147:7)
His faithfulness gives us a joyful melody to sing, because He who promises is true. In Him we find our delight and worship.
What is the delight of your heart? What do you want from God more than anything? Then delight in His presence and He will give you the desires of your heart.
What are those desires? They are God's indwelling presence of His holiness. They are His desires placed right inside of you: His hope, fulfillment, and true satisfaction.
In any situation or stage of life or season, we can truly be satisfied by His unfailing love.
