Pursuing the Call: A Plan for New MissionariesSample

There are so many incredible lessons to be found in the story of Jesus encountering the Samaritan woman at the well. One of these lessons is the power of personal testimony. What the text highlights as the spark for the town’s revival was not Jesus’ teachings or even his miracles, but the testimony of the Samaritan woman. We read in verse 19:
Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” (emphasis added)
Oftentimes, we undervalue our testimony, comparing it to others and thinking that our story is less impressive. In reality, your testimony is valuable, and it is one of the greatest tools in your toolbelt to reach people with the Gospel.
As you read today's reading, consider how your testimony can help you share the Gospel with people.
