How to Pray for My School - a Guide for ParentsSample

EXPRESS
Devotion
The account of Jesus being tempted in the wilderness shows the importance of knowing Scripture. Jesus used Scripture to fend off Satan. Today’s devotion won’t be as long because I want you to spend some time in the written Word of God. When you pray for schools, pray Scripture over them. Teach Scripture to your children in their youth, and they will remember and hold fast to it. God’s words give life, our words death. God’s words carry authority because He said them; our words lack that characteristic. Pray God’s authoritative words over schools and know they will not return to Him void. Here is a list of Scriptures you can use to guide your prayer:
- 1 John 5:14-15
- John 15:7
- Hebrews 4:12
- John 6:63
- Psalms 91:10-15
- Proverbs 3:5-8
- Proverbs 4:20-27
- Isaiah 54:17
