Moments for Mums: Walk in Power—Part 2Sample

I would love some supernatural power that has me running around like a superhero, able to tackle every task I cram into my day. It would be easy to take this verse and try to apply it like that. I know I have. It results in me falling in a heap, exhausted.
We are promised strength and power. We are given the ability to do deep and hard work. But it is for a purpose. When we read further back in this chapter, we see that Paul is talking about the specific work given to him by God to do.
This power comes from being with God. In Christ’s upside-down kingdom, being still with him is what allows us to act for him. I know the many challenges stopping me from being still. I also know that whatever I do for God cannot be sustainable unless I am being with him more.
Question
What purpose has God given you for today? Take a few minutes to be still with Jesus.
Prayer
Lord, forgive me for how often I try to do more rather than leaning in to your purpose for me. Help me to be still and receive your power as I walk through my day. Amen.
