Prospering in PandemoniumSample
The Double-Portion Dimension
As we conclude this plan, the final concept we need to understand to prosper in the midst of pandemonium is the double portion dimension. This is the dimension God wants us to operate in. Many Christians today limit their thinking by what they have seen. They no longer operate in total faith in the Most-High God. They are stuck in seasonal thinking.
We all may be guilty of this at some point or another, but I want to challenge you to start thinking "unlimited"—to start thinking in the double-portion dimension.
In 1 Kings 17, Elijah displays this perfectly. He went from being fed by ravens next to a brook that dried up to being fed from an unlimited supply of meal and oil in a poor foreign widow’s house. The impossible became possible through faith in God.
In 2 Kings 4, Elisha helped a widow go from being a borrower to being a lender when she received as much oil as her vessels could hold. This miracle was made possible by having faith in the Most High.
Finally, in Matthew 14, we see Jesus’ famous miracle of multiplying the five loaves and two fishes to feed a crowd of 5,000 men (and there were probably women and children, too!). Jesus, better than anyone, knew what God the Father is capable of and set an amazing example for us in how we should be thinking, operating, and living.
Jesus, Elisha, Elijah, and many more over history, received a revelation that there was access available to a dimension of heaven attainable on the earth. This revelation became permission to lay aside seasonal and level thinking to walk in dimensional believing.
This is the type of thinking God wants His children to have now and in the last days on earth. He wants us to have total faith in Him and stop limiting our thinking and confining it to what we believe is possible. He wants us to access the double portion dimension of thinking for His glory.
