What does Romans say about suffering?Sample

Encouragement for Hard Situations
Sometimes the last thing we want to hear when we go through something difficult is to “be patient.”
When we’re in the middle of a hard situation, we want the pain and suffering to go away as fast as possible. This is normal and natural. But when we are patient in trials, it demonstrates that we trust God’s faithfulness and believe that He is who He says He is.
Patiently trusting God doesn’t dismiss your pain, but it does allow God to meet you in the pain.
God wants to pour into you so that you can face whatever life brings. He wants to help you remember that Jesus has defeated death, and all who believe in Him are invited into an abundant, eternal future.
We will have trials in this world. But we can also have hope during tough times because Jesus has overcome the world. For this reason, we can … “rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation.” (Romans 5:3-4, NLT)
Because of Jesus, we can rest in the hope of a better future, knowing that God has already prepared that future for us. We can focus on God and not just the situation at hand. We can slow down and be directed by God, not our circumstances.
Over time, this creates space in our hearts to worship God for who He is regardless of what we encounter. And this builds our confidence that we will one day receive what we’ve been promised: a future in Jesus’ presence without pain or suffering.
