“See how much God loves you”

We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. (1 John 4:16)

I love to play games with my grandkids. I have ten of them, and sometimes we’ll play a fun game where we try and stretch out our arms and say “I love you this much”, and see who loves the most!  

When Jesus Christ was stretched on that cross by the Romans, they stretched Him out as wide as they could and crucified Him. So every time you see a cross, I want you to remember that is God with His arms stretched out wide, saying to you, “This is how much I love you!”

Remember that Jesus was born at Christmas to ultimately give His life. What a gift! It is a priceless gift, because Jesus grew up and He died on a cross. He shed His blood so that your life may be cleansed. It is a priceless gift! It is a perfect gift. And that gift is given to everyone who’ll receive Him.
