The fact that God is invisible can create tension for many of us. For many of us, connecting with God can be difficult when you can’t see God. Don’t you just wish you could see God, grab coffee with God, or have a face-to-face conversation with God? Well, 2,000 years ago, people actually had those opportunities. Jesus was the visible, tangible, and audible image of God. And while we may not be able to tangibly or audibly experience Jesus, we can still learn what God is like by experiencing Jesus more. We get a visible example of the invisible God through the Gospels in Scripture and through prayer.
How will you be more intentional about connecting with God this week? Maybe for you, it is reading a chapter of the Bible every day, or maybe it’s taking five minutes when you first wake up to spend in prayer.
