Relationships are complicated! The Bible never explicitly talks about “dating” relationships because they just didn’t exist when it was written. So, how do we navigate these topics in the 21st century while using God’s infinite knowledge? Although the Bible doesn’t unpack attraction and dating, it does talk about making wise choices today that will impact our futures. And above all, we are told to trust in the Lord with every decision we make. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us to seek His will in everything we do. When we ask God what the wisest choice is, he shows us what’s best. So, whether you’re trying to decide whom to date, how to conduct yourself as a single person, or where to begin with all of your feelings, start by seeking wisdom from God. That means reading Scripture to see what God says about relationships and talking with wise people who follow Jesus.
Challenge: As we start this Bible Reading Plan, take a moment to write down how you are feeling. What are your current feelings about relationships, yourself, and God? Ask God to show you something new over the next few days as you commit to reading about God’s best for our relationships.

About this Plan

Relationships are complicated, and relationships can be confusing if you're single, dating someone, or just putting feelers out there to see who you're attracted to. While the Bible never explicitly talks about "dating" relationships (because dating as we know it didn't exist when it was written), we can learn a lot of wisdom about relationships, singleness, attraction, and feelings.
