Prayers and Devotions for SolopreneursSample
Making Decisions While God Seems Silent
I can overthink a lot. I can pray about minor things and then doubt them, which prevents me from moving forward, all the while using the excuse that I’m seeking guidance from God.
Isn’t that stalling ;)?
For those prayers, sometimes the answers never come.
Why?
Because I think God has given us a sound mind. The fact that I doubt my own capability to make a decision—that I’m too afraid to move on—basically says that I do not trust what God has put in me, or trust God in general.
What is bent, He can make straight.
If I drift away, He knows how to bring me back.
He promises He is in control.
He provides.
For God to provide, you actually have to take steps. You can’t just sit back and wait until He makes things happen (or for Him to answer concerning a small decision you have to make). You have to do the work. Not just the thinking.
So, work with all your heart as working for the Lord (Colossians 3:23), and give Him the glory in all the things you do.
Dare to take steps.
If you never move, there’s no path to straighten.
So go, and have faith.
Choose!
Blessings,
Jane

Today’s Prayer
God,
I know You hear my prayers and I know You will answer them, but Your timing or answer might not be what I expect. Forgive me for taking the reins too often, and help me to seek You in all I do. Empower me to make decisions and strengthen my belief that You care about my life and business.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen
