My Daddy Strongest
These are the words of King David, who thanked the Lord for delivering him from his enemies. In the psalm, King David was referring to being rescued from physical danger. But we know that God will save us from all dangers – seen and unseen, known and unknown, physical, mental and spiritual.
For me, personally, this short declaration is the essence of the Gospel. It is how simple our relationship with our heavenly Father should be.
When Jesus was asked what the greatest commandment was, He replied that we should love the Lord with all our heart, mind and soul (Matthew 22:37). He said, “Put the Lord first in everything we do.” In turn, God will provide us the strength to live a life that reflects His righteousness. He will help us through difficult times and situations, deliver us from all afflictions, and restore our soul. He promises to be with us always and never forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). He is a never-ending source of strength and power. It is so comforting to know that we can rest in God’s strength when facing troubles of any kind. His strength is made perfect in our weakness. Place Him first in your life and He will take over.

Lord, today is a new day. I ask that You give me the strength to live it abundantly, and to place You first in all that I do today. Amen.

About this Plan
It is our prayer that it will reveal to those who don’t know Jesus Christ, that there is a Creator and Maker of this universe, the only loving and powerful God who longs for a personal relationship with every human being. We pray that these daily readings will remind us all of the great hope and abundant joy in knowing Jesus Christ, through whom we have eternal life!
