Blessings in Unity

We are the body of Christ. God has a destiny for each one of us. In order to fulfill God’s plans for our lives, we need to work together in unity, being of the same mind or thinking alike or agreeing on something we desire to happen.

We are to help one another function, using the gifts of the Holy Spirit and callings on our lives, by working in unity and love. We will achieve great things in our lives when we are united. God commands the blessing of ‘life forevermore’ on us, His abundant life, which includes every good thing we need to live victoriously. In the New Testament, when the disciples of Jesus and others came together in one accord, they received the Holy Spirit and the gift of tongues.

Dwelling in unity is an indispensable quality in the church as well as in our homes. It is the key to blessings, peace, joy and success. Jesus said in Matthew 18:19, “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.” Jesus prayed to His Father for believers to be one with each other just as He and the Father are one. So, it is good and pleasant when brethren dwell together in unity.

Prayer
Lord, help us to dwell in unity and love with our brethren and leaders in the church, and with our family members at home, so that Your Spirit can flow freely, bringing abundant fruit and blessing in our lives. Thank You, Lord, for hearing me. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
