Mary became pregnant with Jesus through the Holy Spirit. Joseph, who was engaged to Mary, didn't want to stay with her. He thought Mary was lying until God told him in a dream that Mary was telling the truth. Can you imagine what that must have been like? Mary was a young teenager, and if Joseph had divorced her, the town would have publicly shamed her. Joseph had to choose to believe that Mary was pregnant through the Holy Spirit, which was something that had never happened before or since. Both Mary and Joseph had to decide to trust God. Do you struggle with fully trusting him? Are there some areas in your life where it is hard to believe that God has your best interest at heart? What is holding you back from fully trusting in God's plans for your life?

Challenge: Today, write down some difficult areas to trust God. Then, take some time to talk to him- tell him how you are feeling, and choose today to trust him even in your doubt.
