Selah: Pause and Think on ThisSample
In Disguise
God is going to give you double for your trouble. In Job 42, the Bible says the Lord not only restored the fortunes of Job but also gave him twice as much as he had before. His latter days were more blessed than his beginning (Job 42:12). The pain and the hardship Job went through set him up for a double portion of God's blessing.
God doesn't allow trouble for trouble's sake. If you're going through a hard season right now, read Job 42. Your suffering is not in vain. God is a restorer. He will give you double for your trouble. Selah.
Today, pray ...
Lord, I pray that You help me see that the trouble that comes into my life is not just trouble for trouble's sake but a chance for me to receive a double portion of Your blessing. I declare the blessing of Job over my life right now in the name of Jesus. My time of suffering has not been in vain. You will restore to me everything that has been lost - and then some! In Jesus's name, amen.
