Each Breath I Take I Will Speak God's PraiseSample

A new, yet timeless song of salvation
“They sing the song of Moses, the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, ‘Great and amazing are your deeds, O Lord God the Almighty!’” (Revelation 15:3)
When the people of Israel were leaving Egypt under Moses’ leadership, Pharaoh and his army pursued them. The Israelites were terrified since there was no way of escape. Before them was the sea, on both sides were high mountains, and behind them was Pharaoh’s army. But the Lord God drove the sea back so that the people could go through the sea on dry ground. When Pharaoh tried to do the same, the sea went back to its place and the whole army was covered by the waters. Being thus saved by God, the people sang a song of praise. In the book of Revelation, John sees a vision of God’s children standing beside a sea of glass and singing essentially the same timeless song:
“Great and amazing are your deeds,
O Lord God the Almighty!
Just and true are your ways,
O King of the nations!”
Even though these people are from all nations and from different periods in history, they have all experienced God’s righteous acts of salvation in their own specific circumstances. God’s salvation plan has developed over time, but its essence has always been the same.
Does this song resound in your heart?
