PRAY FIRST

DAY 4 OF 5

We should worship not just one but all of God’s many names. While there are many more, I usually include seven of His names when I pray: Righteousness, Sanctifier, Healer, Banner of Victory, Shepherd, Peace, and Provider. I might pray, “Father, You are my Righteousness, and through the gift of Your Son, You make me clean,” or “Lord, You are the Healer over all afflictions, ailments, illnesses, and injuries—praise You!” I go through each of these seven and offer praise and worship related to what’s going on in my life and how I need His presence in my life.

There are many other names and attributes of God for you to worship. Each name reflects part of His character and reveals new aspects of your relationship with Him. “Hallowed be Your name” is not intended to be an option mentioned in passing—it’s foundational to knowing your Father completely. When you pray, worshiping God for who He is should always be part of your conversation with Him. He doesn’t need to be reminded of who He is—but we do. Exploring the many amazing aspects of God’s character compels us to worship because we can’t help but appreciate His greatness. The Lord is more than worthy of our praise!

Prayer

Father, I praise You for all that You are and for the many ways You are at work around me. Thank You for allowing me to know You and love You. Amen.
