"Conformed or Transformed?" 

As I was walking through an airport the other day, a person came up to me and said, “Pastor Casey! I love your message on renewing the mind. I have now renewed my mind!” While I appreciated the sentiment, we never are fully done renewing our minds. It is a journey that carries on through the duration of our entire lives! This is not discouraging. If anything, this is a hopeful and exciting gift from God. 

There are areas in our lives that, if we were to be honest with ourselves, are conformed to the ways of the world. We think, act, talk, and live like the world – that is being conformed to the world. If you have a headache and reach for the medication before confessing healing, that is a simple sign that you are conformed, not transformed. God desires that we be transformed by the renewing of our minds! We don’t cover or hide our old way of thinking; we replace it with a new way of thinking. 

Renewal Thought: God doesn’t want to patch up your current way of thinking; He wants you to have a whole new way of thinking! This daily process is the journey of a lifetime! What one thought can you change today that will transform your life?

Prayer: Father, I believe I am on my way to a renewed mind and renewed life. I am taking the steps you give me to become the person you have called me to be. I will not stop, and I will not give up. I am called to be like Jesus and I am walking out that calling every day.
