“Jesus Prays for Unity"
How amazing it is to think that right before Jesus was arrested, we were on His mind and in His prayers! He prayed that we would have unity as believers, the kind of unity that He has with the Father. As you think about how divided the global church has been at times, it’s no wonder this is what Jesus prayed.
So often we tend to focus on the things that make us different (style of worship, theology, or methods). Perhaps what we need to do is focus on what unites us. The greatest force that unites us is the work of Jesus on the cross. Let’s not allow minor differences to become a major disruption in our unity as fellow believers.
Have you ever found yourself looking down on others because they believed something different than you? If so, ask God’s forgiveness and do something to build a bridge to other believers.
How can a unified church have a greater impact on the world for Christ?

About this Plan

Jesus was more than just a figurative religious voice. He actually walked this earth as a man revealing to us the full nature of God. One of his best friends, John, took time to write down for us the account of his life, ministry, and teachings. This six-week study through the Gospel of John is not only history, but it’s also His Story.
