Brave Change: Navigating Uninvited Seasons a 6 -Day Plan by Krista PettifordSample
Believe God Can Restore Your Life
“May he be to you a restorer of life.” Ruth 4:15
When life deals us a bitter hand and things don't work out the way we hoped they would, God wants us to believe that His goodness can restore our lives and make them beautiful, joyous, and pleasant again.
Ruth and Naomi leaned into God's favor, and God made everything they went through work together for their good. He used their season of hardships to fulfill their part in His plan. Boaz redeemed Ruth and Naomi, and they entered God's rest under his covering. They no longer had to fear the future. Ruth became a part of the family of God and the genealogy of Jesus. Naomi's life was restored.
When I took the first step of faith to follow God forward, I did not feel deserving of another chance at a beautiful, joyous, good life, even though I believed God was good.
Trusting God opened my eyes to see things from His perspective and discover the beauty, blessings, purpose, and lessons He ordained for me. I realized that the suffering I had experienced wasn't because of something I had done wrong. I saw that time and chance had happened to me, but that God could make everything I had gone through work together for my good. God has restored my faith in His goodness toward me. He has restored my identity in Christ and my hope for the present and the future, and He is restoring my whole life.
Believing in God's goodness toward us makes all the difference in navigating uninvited change.
Are you willing to believe in God's goodness despite your painful past seasons and trust Him to make everything work for your good and restore your life?
Ready. Set. Take your next step!
