Lessons From DavidSample

HONEST PRAYER
David modeled prayer in such a genuine, honest, and raw way.
Prayer should not be a monologue, but a dialogue. Prayer is not just about talking to God, but also about us listening to God.
When we think of the book of Psalms, we often think about praising and worshipping God. But did you know that the majority of the Psalms are considered "psalms of lament?" A psalm of lament is expressing deep grief, sadness, regret, and sorrow.
Here's the point: David was honest with God in prayer. He didn't sugarcoat things; he gave God the full extent of his true emotions and heart. He was honest with God about what he was dealing with.
When you pray, be honest with God. Prayer is more than submitting your needs to God, it's having a genuine conversation with Him.
