Day 5: It Is Our Reasonable Service

Living as a sacrifice is not radical to God; it’s reasonable. Jesus died for us, and all He’s asking is for us to live for Him! Many people are looking for true life and look to things in the world to fill these voids. We find true life when we deny ourselves, pick up our cross, and follow Jesus. If we try to hold onto things for the sake of our flesh or pleasing the world, we will lose out on the life God has intended for us. We must be willing to forsake all and follow Jesus wholeheartedly.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I want to crucify my flesh, take up my cross and follow you. With all that comes at me, I know I cannot do this in my own strength. I ask you, Holy Spirit, to empower me to resist temptation and resist my own will that wants to do things my way. I ask you to continue to show areas of my life that I need to crucify and give over to you so I can live a life that is pure before you. I thank you as your child; you love me enough not to leave me where I am at. In Jesus’ name, Amen
