The origin story of the people of Israel is beginning. God reveals himself to Moses and declares his name to be Yahweh – the Lord. The story of the deliverance of Israel from Egypt, rather than a couple of sentences, will serve as the definition for the Lord for generations to come.
The Israelites had stories about the God of their forefathers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, but nothing has been heard from this God for 500 years. But with the name “the Lord” being revealed to Moses, a new understanding of God is becoming known.

From muddy ocean floors and sea walls, to manna from heaven, and water from rock. This plan follows the story of the Exodus, when God is revealed as Yahweh. This 8-week plan has a theme of the Exodus narrative each week as well as two memory passages to focus on.
