Naomi had loved 5th grade. She and her best friend, Jasmine, were always together and Naomi had never felt lonely. But 6th grade was different. She and Jasmine had drifted apart over the summer, and now Jasmine had a new best friend. Naomi tried to talk with her, but Jasmine was always too busy, and her new friend didn’t seem to like Naomi. One day in the bathroom, Naomi overheard them laughing and talking about her. She felt hurt and betrayed and wanted to find a way to get back at Jasmine.
